”The only thing i can say is that happiness comes from within and not in the form of a “perfect” body. The body is just your outer shell. I know women of all sizes (very thin included) who feel badly about their bodies. And how can we not? We are bombarded with images and messages that tell us we need to change in order to be happy. The messages (advertising, magazines, billboards) tell us that we need to lose weight, get that perfect outfit, have the new car, own the new ipad, etc. in order to be a complete person. It is very hard not to let these messages enter our minds and change our view of what it means to be fulfilled and happy. I would just say to try and not let the number on the scale or on your jeans dictate your self esteem. Happiness is a choice, and you need to work hard at being a happy person. I work hard everyday at trying to be a positive person, and sometimes its harder than other times. The best advice though is to try and not let your size be such a huge factor in seeing your own self worth.
